Meet the Founder

Eng. Ahmed ElSewedy

President & CEO of the Board of Directors at ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC. Eng. Ahmed currently chairs several business councils including Egypt-Lebanon, Egypt-Zambia, Egypt-Ethiopia, and the Egyptian Chinese business council along with being a member of the Egyptian Businessmen Association and President of the German Chamber of Commerce (AHK)& a board member of the Federation of Egyptian Industries (FEI), Egyptian Junior Business Association (EJB), Arab African International Bank, Emaar Misr for Development, and Talaat Moustafa Group Holding (TMGH). Eng. Ahmed Elsewedy was appointed as a member of ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC’s Board of Directors in 2005, and currently serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of the company, leveraging over 35 years of experience in the fields of electricity and energy. In 1986, Elsewedy led the first private cable factory in Egypt, Arab Cables Co., turning it into one of the largest worldwide providers of integrated energy solutions with over thirty production facilities spanning sixteen countries. With his significant contributions, ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC has grown significantly over the years. Through streamlining operations, acquiring new businesses, and penetrating new markets, the company expanded rapidly, currently housing a team of over 17,000 employees and exporting to over 110 countries. Eng. Elsewedy received his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Cairo University in 1986.

Prof. Ahmed Hassan Yousef

Prof. Ahmed Hassan Yousef has served as Vice President of Egypt University of Informatics since 2023. He previously held the position of Dean of the School of Information Technology and Computer Science at Nile University for five years. A Computer Engineering Professor at Ain Shams University, he also chairs the National Committee of Information and Communication Technology in the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology. In addition, Prof. Yousef is a member of the Nomination and Appointment Committee for IEEE Region 8 (Europe, Middle East, and Africa) and served as the chair of the Egypt Section from 2020 to 2023. His research interests include software engineering, informatics, high-performance computing, and natural language processing. Currently, he is the President of Elsewedy University of Technology.

Dean of Computer Science and Engineering Technology

Prof. Mohamed Sobh is a highly respected professor of Computer Engineering at Ain Shams University. With over 26 years of professional experience, he has become a well-known figure in the field of computer sciences. Dr. Sobh has made significant contributions to the development of more than 75 products for both national and international markets. He is currently the Chief Technical Officer of many industrial and governmental organizations, where he leads digital transformation activities. Prof. Sobh has also been involved in many applied research projects as either the Principal Investigator or Co-PI. His work has included the development and manufacturing of the Digital Signature token, Smart Card Operating systems, Secure IoT platforms, and DPI-based SDN Networks. His research has been instrumental in advancing the field of computer science and has helped many private and governmental organizations. As Dean for Computer Science and Engineering Technology at SUT, Prof. Sobh applies practical teaching strategies to build skills required by the industry. He has simplified theoretical concepts to make them more accessible to students. This approach has helped many students acquire the skills needed for the job market.

Dr. Ayman Taha (Network and cyber security Program Head)

Dr. Ayman Taha is a well-known figure in the fields of Data Science and Cyber Security. He is currently serving as the Program Head of Data Science and Cyber Security at SUT. Prior to this role, Dr. Ayman was an Assistant Professor and Advisor of the Cyber Security program at the Faculty of Computer Science, MIU. Dr. Ayman has over 12 years of academic experience and more than 25 years in the industry of ICT and Cybersecurity. He has made significant contributions to the field of cybersecurity, including his role as the director of the Information Regulation Authority. Dr. Ayman holds a Ph.D. degree in Computer Engineering from Ain Shams University and was also a scholar at CERIAS, a specialized research center of cybersecurity at Purdue University, Indiana, USA. Dr. Ayman has published several papers in international conferences and journals on access control, intrusion detection, cryptography, and security in cloud computing. His research interests include designing computer networks, IOT, and network security.

Dr. Abdallah Fathy (Electronics Lecturer)

Dr. Abdallah Fathy is an accomplished Electronics and Communications Engineer, with a Ph.D. degree from Ain Shams University. He has a wealth of experience in both academia and industry, having worked as a Lecturer Assistant at The German University in Cairo and in the electronics and mobile communications industry. Dr. Fathy has made significant contributions to the field of telecommunications and technologies, as evidenced by his active role as a reviewer for the IEEE ACCESS Journal and his membership on the steering committee of the International Conference on Future Telecommunications and Technologies (IC-FTT) and the International Competition on Smart Innovation Technologies (IC-SIT), IEEE Egypt AP-S /MTTS Joint Chapter.

Eng. Hagar Mohamed is a highly skilled computer scientist who is currently pursuing her master's degree in computer science at Cairo University. Her studies are focused on Software Testing and Natural Language Processing (NLP), and she has demonstrated exceptional expertise in these areas. Eng. Hagar has supervised numerous successful graduation projects in Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Computer Vision, and Automation Testing, and her guidance has resulted in the publication of strong research papers and remarkable achievements in significant competitions like Dell EMC Envision. Eng. Hagar has also earned a certification in software testing from ISTQB, as well as certifications in Human-Computer Interaction and UX design.

Eng. Mennatallah Aly is a visionary technologist who has made a name for herself in the field of artificial intelligence (AI) and software engineering. Her passion for technology has led her to oversee numerous groundbreaking graduation projects, spanning various tracks that include Computer Vision, Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), Deep Learning, and Reinforcement Learning. These projects have achieved remarkable success, leading to publications and recognition in prestigious competitions such as DELL EMC Envision. Eng. Menattallah's experience in VR/AR is particularly noteworthy, having gained extensive experience during her tenure at Google and Udacity Inc. Her skills in game development and Android Development have demonstrated her deep knowledge and understanding of the field.

Eng. Noura Mohamed is a seasoned professional with over a decade of experience in teaching Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology. Noura is also a dedicated learner, constantly updating her skills by taking various pieces of training in electrical technology. Prof. Ahmed H. Radwan

Prof. Ahmed H. Radwan is an accomplished Professor of Architecture and Urban Design with over 30 years of experience in both academia and professional practice. Currently, he serves as the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Design Technology at Elsewedy University of Technology in Egypt. Previously, he was the Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies & Research at Helwan University in Cairo. He holds a PhD in Architecture from Helwan University and is a LEAD Fellow from Imperial College of London, UK, having completed Cohort 10 in 2004. Prof. Radwan is recognized by the Supreme Council of Universities in Egypt, where he serves as a reviewer. He is also a founding partner of the Integrated Design & Consulting Center (IDCC), where he has managed numerous architectural and urban design projects across Egypt and the MENA region. His professional affiliations include membership in the American Institute of Architects, further underscoring his commitment to the field

Dr. Hanan Fouad ElSherbiny

Hanan is a Egyptian artist and graphic designer who is currently lecturing in Elsewedy University of Technology. She earned her Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) in Graphic Design from the Faculty of Fine Arts at Helwan University in 2009, where she also completed her Master's and Ph.D. degrees. With over 14 years of experience in academia, illustration, and graphic design, Hanan is passionate about technology. Her recent work focuses on sensory branding, UX/UI design, and augmented reality, alongside contemporary digital illustration styles. She has participated in numerous local and international group exhibitions, as well as three solo exhibitions. In 2012, she received the Youth Salon Award at the Cairo Opera House, recognizing her contributions to the art community.

Habiba Abdelsalam is a dedicated Art and Design Instructor that is currently working in Elsewedy University of Technology (SUT) with over four years of experience in both traditional and digital media. Specializing in 2D/3D shapes, perspective, and digital painting using Adobe software, she equips students with the foundational artistic skills necessary for success. Committed to creating a supportive and inspiring learning environment, Habiba fosters creativity and personal growth, helping students to reach their full artistic potential.

Dr. Hesham Ali Sakr

Dr. Hesham Ali Sakr is a Communication and Electronics Engineering expert with a Ph.D. from Mansoura University and over 15 years of academic and technical experience. He specializes in network infrastructure, cybersecurity, and 5G & 6G communication technologies, with certifications from Cisco and Microsoft. Dr. Sakr has worked as a technical consultant, contributed to research at Idaho State University, and served in Egypt's Ministry of Communication and Information Technology. He is currently a lecturer at Elsewedy University of Technology (SUT) and has published extensively in internationally recognized journals and conferences.

Dr. Rania Gamal

Dr. Rania Gamal is a Lecturer in Physics and Thermodynamics at Elsewedy University of Technology, with a Ph.D. in Philosophy of Science from Minoufiya University. She has over 14 years of experience in battery development and energy storage systems, having worked at the Higher Institute of Engineering before joining SUT. Dr. Rania's research focuses on innovative energy storage technologies and sustainable energy solutions, and she is dedicated to advancing academic excellence and renewable energy systems.

Eng. Lubna Abdelhasseeb

Lubna Abdelhasseeb is a Teaching Assistant in the Electronics Department at SUT. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering Technology from EDEXCEL with distinction, a Higher Diploma in Software Engineering from Cairo University, and an HND Level 5 in Electronics Engineering from Pearson. Lubna has a strong focus on both academic and professional excellence. She has worked as an internal verifier, ensuring that assessors meet Pearson’s standards, highlighting her attention to detail and expertise in quality assurance. She has supervised numerous electronics projects and taught courses in electronics and embedded systems, her area of passion. Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Electronics, Lubna is committed to helping students bridge theory and practical applications, especially in embedded systems.

Eng. Nahla Hafez

Nahla is currently a dedicated teaching assistant at SUT with 4 years of experience in Computer Science and Engineering. She graduated from the Faculty of Engineering at the Higher Technological Institute (HTI), specializing in operating systems and networks practical labs. Currently working at SUT while pursuing a master's degree at Ain Shams University. Her research focuses on the security of Internet of Things (IoT) systems. Nahla is passionate about both teaching and research, contributing to courses with innovative methods such as real-time security applications and deep learning frameworks for Android IoT systems. Her interests lie at the intersection of IoT security, machine learning, and blockchain technologies.

Eng. Nahla Sami Abdellatif Ahmed Saber- Teaching Assistant 1

Eng. Nahla Sami

Nahla Sami is currently a teaching assistant at SUT with a strong background in communication and electronics engineering. She is pursuing a Master of Science (MSc) degree at Helwan University, focusing on load-balancing algorithms, fog computing, and electrical smart grids. She completed her Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Communication and Electronics Engineering at Helwan University in 2019 with experience at Zewail City, covering subjects like digital logic design, embedded systems, and computer network, her technical expertise spans virtualization, cloud computing, AWS architecture, Linux administration, and DevOps, alongside deep knowledge of embedded systems (microcontroller architecture, embedded C, RTOS, ARM controllers). She is proficient in programming languages such as Python, C, and C++, and holds AWS Cloud Practitioner certification and training in DevOps. Nahla is actively involved in research, technical education, and the practical application of advanced technologies, particularly in cloud computing and embedded systems. She combines academic theory with hands-on industry experience to address modern engineering challenges.

Eng. Wafy Mahmoud Hassan Elsayed- Assistant Lecturer 2

Eng. Wafy Mahmoud

Wafy obtained his B.Sc. in special mathematics from the faculty of science at Al-Azhar University in 2019. After that, he worked as a full-time teaching assistant in Sinai University, faculty of engineering, then he obtained his M.Sc. in mathematics, majoring in pure mathematics, from the faculty of science in 2024. Later in October 2024, he joined the SUT as an assistant lecturer in the faculty of engineering technology. Wafy taught several courses during his career: Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Complex Analysis, Numerical Analysis, Probability and Statistics. Wafy has research activities in Time Scales, Solitary Waves and Nonlinear Evolution Equatios.

Dr. Neama Mohamed Nasr Madany- Lecturer 3

Dr. Neama Madany

Dr. Neama Madany is an Assistant Professor at ElSewedy University of Technology. She holds a Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering from Cairo University (2023), focusing on biofuel production from biomass. Her M.Sc. (2020) explored optimizing refrigeration cycles with hydrocarbons. Her research interests include bioenergy, waste management, thermochemical technologies, and renewable energy. Dr. Madany has industrial experience in production processes and environmental compliance, and has worked on environmental consulting projects. Previously, she was a teaching assistant at Badr University (2017–2024) and is passionate about sustainability in energy and chemical engineering.
