Mr. Sadek ElSewedy
Mr. Sadek ElSewedy is the chairman of the Board of Directors at ElSewedy Electric, CEO of United Industries Holding Company for Financial Investments, member of the Board of Directors of El Sharqiya Sugar Company, and member of the Board of Trustees of Nile University.
MR. Sadek ElSewedy is the CEO of ElSewedy Industries and the Co-Founder of ElSewedy Electric, bringing over 35 years of executive experience to these positions. He joined ElSewedy Electric’s Board of Directors in 2005. ElSewedy kicked off his professional career as a university student, working in the family business to bolster operations. In 1986, he joined his late father, Mr. Ahmed ElSewedy, in building the first-ever cable factory on 10th of Ramadan. In 2006, ElSewedy was appointed as Group-Chairman (ElSewedy Electric–ElSewedyIndustries).
Throughout his career, he was appointed as General Manager of the ElSewedy Trading Company, which quickly became the Group’s strongest trading arm. He also founded diverse industrial companies for the Group, such as lighting fixtures, transformers, steel structures, cement, and other building materials. Mr. Sadek received his bachelor’s degree in commerce from Cairo University in 1982.
Dr. Khaled Al Anani
Dr. Al Anani is a member of Institut Francais d'Archeologie Orientale, German Archaeological Intutute, and the French Society of Egyptology.
Dr. Al Anani assumed his position as Minister of Antiquities in March 2016 and until December 2019. He then became Minister of Tourism and Antiquities in December 2019 and until August 2022. He is the first Minister of both Tourism and Antiquities since the two ministries were separated in 1966. He is a Professor in the Tourism Guidance Department, Faculty of Tourism and Hotel Management (FTH), Helwan University (HU), since 2011.
During his career, he has developed a strong international network with many governments, institutions, and organizations, visiting more than 25 countries, for academic purposes, conferences, and events. During his six-and-a-half-year tenure in the Government, more than 20 museums and 45 restoration and development projects of archeological sites have been inaugurated, including more than 20 restoration projects of historical mosques, monasteries, and churches. Dr. Anani also played a key role in the restoration and preservation of Egypt's cultural heritage, including the restoration of the historic Baron Empain Palace in Cairo.
Dr. Al-Anani studied Egyptology at Helwan University. He obtained a MAS and Ph.D. at the Paul Valery University Montpellier in 2001.
Eng. Wael Hamdy
Eng. Wael is also a member of several business councils and professional organizations & associations, including The Energy Core Committee of the American Chamber in Egypt. He also served as a board member of several companies, including ELSEWEDY Power, ELSEWEDY Power System Projects (PSP), Rowad Modern Engineering (RME), and 3W Networks LLC (3WN).
He assumed several executive positions in energy, oil & gas, and hospitality entities across the Middle East and Europe including MIDOR, 3W Networks, Pyramids Park, Rowad, and Jolie Ville Investments.
Eng. Wael holds an MBA in Business Administration in addition to a B.Sc. in Power & Electrical Machinery Engineering from Ain Shams University, Cairo.
Dr. Ahmed Mahmoud Darwish
Dr. Darwish served as the first Chairman of the General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (2015-2017) where he laid the foundation of one of the largest Special Economic Zones in the world. In his public roles, he has served as an international consultant to cover Policies and Strategies, Governance and Organizational Development, Business Processes, and Information Technology. He was a consultant to several international organizations (UNDP, UNIDO, WHO, UNICEF, UNESCO, FAO, ESCWA, European Union, and World Bank), government organizations, and companies in Egypt, the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and the United States.
He previously served as Minister of State for Administration Development between 2004 and 2011 in which he was involved in the preparation of the National Policy and Strategy Document on e-government in addition to the planning, administration, and coordination of the implementation efforts. He has also spearheaded the design and execution of the Institutional and Human Resources Development Program.
Dr. Ahmed received his B.Sc. in Electronics and Communication Engineering and M.Sc. in Computer Engineering from Cairo University, in 1981 and 1984 respectively. He received his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of California, Davis in 1988.
Eng. Karim Ghabbour
Eng. Karim has managed an estimated 3,236 employees by implementing organizational vision, planning annual operations, employing operations strategy, increasing sales and revenue, and managing employee performance and productivity. Eng. Karim has implemented the proper strategies for Ghabbour Auto that made it a leading automotive assembler, manufacturer, and distributor in North Africa and the Middle East and that has allowed it to be listed in 2007 on the Egyptian Exchange (EGX). The company has also a direct sales presence in Egypt and Iraq and is now expanding to other MENA nations.

H.E. Shri Ajit Gupte
By joining Indian Foreign Service in 1991, his excellency has served as Under Secretary (China) during postings in Hong Kong from 1998-2000 and then in Beijing from 2000-2004. H.E. Gupte has also proven his extensive exposure to India’s neighborhood by serving in Dhaka, Bangladesh from 2004 to 2008 as First Secretary/Counsellor. H.E. Gupte also served in ICCR as Deputy Director General to promote India’s cultural diplomacy and ‘soft power’ from 2008 to 2010. Thereafter, he was Deputy Chief of Mission at the Embassy of India, Berlin from 2010 to 2014. During this period, he was also charged d’ affairs for 9 months. He held the post of Joint Secretary (Haj) for a year and was Joint Secretary (Development Partnership Administration), dealing with Lines of Credit for all countries, including India’s neighboring countries and Africa from 2015 - 2017. H.E. Gupte served as Ambassador of India to Denmark from September 2017 to March 2021. He has taken charge as Ambassador of India to the Arab Republic of Egypt on 10 March 2021.
Some of his key achievements as an Ambassador include promoting Indian investments in Egypt, enhancing tourism ties between the two countries, and facilitating cultural exchanges and collaborations. He also worked to increase the number of scholarships offered to Egyptian students to study in India and fostered closer collaboration between Indian and Egyptian universities.

Prof. Mohamed Sameh Amr
Dr. Amr is a Board member of the Faculty of Law, at Cairo University. Dr. Amr is a member of the Egyptian Bar Association and the Egyptian General Authority of Foreign Investment (GAFI) since 2017
Dr. Mohamed Amr is an Attorney at law, Founding Partner of Amr and Partners Law Firm, located in Cairo, Egypt. He is a Professor and the Chair of International Law, at Cairo University. He is also a visiting professor at SciencePo. (France) and Verona University (Italy). In the field of Corporate Law and Arbitration, he has an experience of over 30 years since he joined Shalakany Law Office in 1987 as an Associate.
In 2016, Dr. Amr established a law firm “Amr and Partners Law Firm” in Cairo (Egypt) and act as Independent Consultant in Paris (France). Dr. Amr offers a comprehensive range of legal services in commercial law, investment law, management, joint venture, franchising, banking and finance, companies’ incorporations, structures and restructures of companies, mergers, and acquisitions, securities, capital market, competition, public-private partnership, as well as trademarks and patents, tourism and services, and IPO’s.
Dr. Amr participated in drafting the Executive Regulations of the Egyptian Law of Competition and Anti-trust (2006), the Investment Law of Egypt (2017), amendments to the Companies Law (2017), amendments to the Capital Market Law (2017), amendments to the Financial Leasing Law (2017) and finally the new Factoring Law (2018). He has represented Egypt in drafting and negotiating several Bilateral Investment Treaties (BITs). In the field of Diplomacy, he has served as Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Egypt to UNESCO from 2012 – 2016. Dr. Amr was elected as the Chairperson of UNESCO’s Executive Board of UNESCO 2013 – 2015.

Eng. Tarek Tawfik
Eng. Tarek is a Board Member of the General Authority for Investments and Free Zones (GAFI), the Egypt Sovereign Wealth Fund, the Egyptian Countryside Development Company, the Egyptian Food Safety Authority, the Chamber of Food Industries, the Agricultural Bank of Egypt, the Egyptian National Competitiveness Council (ENCC), the Egyptian Poultry Federation, and the Ministry of Trade & Industry’s Industrial Modernization Center, the Export Support Program, and the Export Development Authority. Mr. Mohamed Shelbaya
Board Member at the National Company for Metal Forming, the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt, the National Food Industries Company, and the Egyptian Junior Business Association.
Mr. Shelbaya was the Vice President of the MENA Snacks Category where he played a critical role in driving the snacks business growth and leading the MENA snacks innovation revenue to unprecedented levels. Mr. Shelbaya was also General Manager, of Egypt Snacks where he grew the business double-digit year on year, achieving breakthrough results on market share and equity metrics. Mr. Shelbaya has held a wide range of roles since joining the company back in 1994. He was the Vice President of PepsiCo’s bottling operations for Saudi Arabia and Yemen and had previously served as Sales and Customer Development Director for the Middle East & Africa. He also held other leading positions in Marketing and Sales.
Going back through his thread of success before joining PepsiCo, Mr. Shelbaya set off his career in advertising working for Saatchi & Saatchi in Egypt and the GCC.

Ms. Hanan ElRehany
Ms. Hanan has worked in development in the field of education for more than 20 years with international and national experiences. She built an extensive networking experience with local and international stakeholders. Previously, she was the director of the Education section at Misr El Kheir Foundation. Before that, she was the Senior Project Officer at the Binational Fulbright Commission.

Mr. Nasser Abdellatif
Mr. Nasser Abdellatif is a member of the board of trustees of the Misr El-Kheir Foundation
Mr. Nasser Abdel Latif is one of Egypt’s largest investors in tourism, the owner of four Rixos hotels, and has recently signed contracts with the Ritz-Carlton and Marriott hotel chains. His company mainly focuses on long-term investments and tourism development, mostly residential, and has built large tourist complexes and resorts, private villas, and various accompanying facilities.
He established Rixos Hotels brand in Egypt which expanded into Rixos Sharm El Sheikh operating in 2012, followed by Rixos Alamein in 2014 and Rixos Premium Seagate in 2016. In 2021, the brand, in partnership with Accor Hotels, opened its largest and most luxurious property, Rixos Premium Magawish Suites & Villas, to reach a total of 3,000 rooms in Egypt.
Eng. Yasser Shaker

Eng. Yasser Shaker has been playing a significant role in the technology sector for over 20 years. Eng. Yasser's previous position was Senior VP, CTIO Orange Middle East and Africa (OMEA) where he contributed to the successful execution of Orange Group strategy towards the development of digitalization in 19 countries. Before that, Eng. Yasser has been the Chief Technology Officer of Orange Egypt and has been a board member of several companies.

Mr. Ibrahim Sarhan
In addition to his role at E-Finance, Mr. Ibrahim Sarhan is also a board member of several organizations, including the Federation of Egyptian Banks, the Egyptian Banking Institute, and the Information Technology Industry Development Agency (ITIDA).
Mr. Sarhan enjoys extensive expertise in the IT and Telecom industry of about 30 years with multi positions at ICL, Triangle, and Raya Integrated before establishing e-finance in 2005. At ICL, Mr. Sarhan was responsible for laying out the Large Customers’ Sales Plans and Forecasting while at Triangle, a specialized company in Trade & Engineering, he was responsible for initiating and implementing the main strategies for Customers in the field of Education and Manufacturing. As the Managing Director of Raya Integration, he was able to enhance/develop his leadership skills in the field of manufacturing.

Eng. Ahmed Mekky
Eng. Mekky is an associate Resident at the American Chamber of Commerce in Egypt
Eng. Mekky founded ‘Gulf Bridge International (GBI) in 2008, to construct and operate a submarine cable network connecting 25 countries, from the Middle East, Africa, Europe, and Asia, through Egypt. Based on Eng. Mekky’s plan, the project was later extended to 40,000 km following the support and request of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC). Following the initiation of the company ‘Equinox’ in 2005, the company was rebranded to (Fiber Misr ICT) and eventually, Eng. Mekky founded the company to become Benya Group in 2017.

Mr. Mohamed Morsy
