Cairo, November 2024 – ElSewedy University of Technology – POLYTECHNIC OF EGYPT -, Egypt’s first polytechnic university, has forged a strategic partnership with Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC) to expand its curriculum in Agricultural Technology. This collaboration aims to provide students with world-class specialized knowledge and enhance faculty expertise in the agriculture sector, reinforcing SUT’s position as a leader in higher education.
As part of the agreement, SUT will launch the Agriculture Irrigation Engineering Technology Program in the 2025–2026 academic year, with academic oversight from Texas A&M University. The program will adhere to U.S. higher education standards and offer specialized tracks in irrigated field crops under pivot systems, pivot irrigation technology, and water management technology. Graduates will receive a Bachelor’s degree from SUT, along with a certificate of recognition from Texas A&M University, ensuring high academic standards and global relevance.
This partnership with Texas A&M University will provide students with specialized knowledge in agricultural engineering, supporting SUT’s strategy to expand instruction in emerging industries. It also highlights the university’s ongoing efforts to broaden its academic programs and better prepare students to address global challenges. Through collaborations with prestigious international institutions, SUT continues to contribute to Egypt’s educational development while fostering innovation and sustainability.
