Cairo, November 2024 – ELSEWEDY UNIVERSITY OF EGYPT -POLYTECHNIC OF EGYPT-, Egypt's first Polytechnic university, has forged a strategic partnership with Texas International Education Consortium (TIEC) to expand its curriculum in Agricultural Technology. This collaboration is aimed at providing students with world-class, specialized knowledge and enhancing faculty expertise in the agriculture sector, reinforcing SUT’s position as a leader in higher education.
As part of the agreement, SUT will launch the “Agriculture Irrigation Engineering Technology Program” in the 2025-2026 academic year, with oversight from Texas A&M University. The program will adhere to U.S. higher education standards and offer specialized tracks in Irrigated Field Crops Under Pivot, Pivot Irrigation Technology, and Water Management Technology. Graduates will receive a Bachelor's degree from SUT, along with a certificate of recognition from Texas A&M University, ensuring the program's high academic standards and global relevance.
This partnership with Texas A&M University will provide our students with specialized knowledge in agricultural engineering, supporting our strategy to expand instruction in emerging industries. It also highlights SUT’s ongoing efforts to broaden its academic programs and better prepare students to address global challenges. Through collaborations with prestigious international institutions, SUT continues to contribute to Egypt's educational development and foster innovation and sustainability.
