Tuition Fee Refund Policy for the Fall Semester 2026/2027 for Egyptian Students
Refund Procedure
In case a student wishes to withdraw, the amount of the first installment will be refunded (subject to the University’s refund policy) upon submitting a “Tuition Fee Refund Request” by the guardian at the Financial Administration Office on the University campus.
Please note that the University does not accept withdrawal requests via email or phone.
Person Responsible for Refunds and Final Withdrawal of the Student File
- The natural guardian (father) is the person authorized to submit the “Refund Request” for a minor student (under 21 years old), in accordance with Egyptian law.
- If the father is unavailable, another person may act on his behalf, provided they hold an official power of attorney registered either at the Notary Public or at the Egyptian Embassy (if the guardian resides abroad), specifying authority over the student’s affairs at the University.
- In case of the father’s death, the person responsible for completing this procedure is the custodian, and this must be done by submitting the father’s death certificate and a custodianship declaration.
- If the mother has official educational guardianship, she is entitled to complete this procedure in place of the father.
- If the student is 21 years old or older, they may complete this procedure themselves.
Refund Policy
- Applicants are entitled to a 100% refund of tuition fees if their admission is rejected by the University or the Ministry of Higher Education due to failure to meet the enrollment requirements set by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Secretariat of Private and National Universities.
- If the applicant withdraws before the start of the academic year, according to the date specified by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Supreme Council of Universities, 10% of the full first installment will be deducted from the total tuition fees, not from the amount already paid. This amounts to EGP 4,500, in addition to an administrative fee of EGP 2,000.
- If the applicant withdraws during the first month of the academic year, according to the specified date by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Supreme Council of Universities, 50% of the full first installment will be deducted. This amounts to EGP 22,500, plus an administrative fee of EGP 2,000.
- If the applicant withdraws after one month from the start of the academic year, the student is not entitled to any refund of fees paid to the University, whether in cash or via bank transfer.
- For students enrolled in military or police colleges, 50% of the tuition fees only will be deducted (excluding other fees), upon submission of proof of enrollment in a military or police college, plus an administrative fee of EGP 2,000.
- Please note that transfer students from other universities are required to pay a non-refundable academic assessment fee of EGP 2,500, in addition to the first installment, before the start of the first semester.
- In the case of withdrawal, the procedure must be carried out in the presence of the student’s legal guardian (father). If the guardian is unable to attend, the accompanying person must provide an official power of attorney from the guardian authorizing them to act on the student’s behalf regarding all university matters.
- In case a student violates the Code of Conduct in a manner that warrants dismissal, they are not entitled to any refund of fees.
- Refunds will be processed within 45 days from the submission of the request and will be issued by check only.
