
ElSewedy University of Technology proudly hosted the 14th International Conference on Model and Data Engineering (MEDI 2025) from November 2–4, 2025, at our campus on the Cairo–Ismailia Road, Kilo 51, Egypt.
Under the theme “Where History Meets Innovation,” MEDI 2025 brought together leading researchers, practitioners, and industry experts from around the world to share insights, present groundbreaking studies, and explore the future of model and data engineering.
MEDI 2025 showcased a broad spectrum of research and applications, spanning:
Modeling and Models Engineering: formal verification, ontology-based modeling, collaborative modeling, model transformation, and more.
Data Engineering: database architectures, data mining, AI-driven models, interoperability, and web data management.
Applications and Tools: real-world applications in biomedical data, data management, industrial experiences, and tool development.
All accepted papers were published in the Springer LNCS series, with selected works invited for a special issue in the Elsevier Journal of Computer Languages (COLA).
MEDI 2025 offered exceptional opportunities for networking and collaboration between academia and industry. Beyond the academic sessions, participants explored Egypt’s rich heritage. As a grand finale, attendees visited the Grand Egyptian Museum on its opening day, experiencing firsthand the marvels of Egypt’s history. This memorable visit perfectly complemented the conference’s theme, connecting cutting-edge research with Egypt’s cultural legacy.
