Eng. Rafic Daou

With extensive experience in the steel industry, Eng. Rafic Daou has established himself as a prominent business leader, playing a pivotal role in the sustained success and growth of Suez Steel Company. Over the years, he has led strategic initiatives that have strengthened the company’s market position and operational excellence. Most notably, he is currently spearheading the development of a new steel manufacturing facility in Suez, a project of national significance that has been presented to H.E. President Abdel Fattah El Sisi.

Prior to his current role, Eng. Daou served as the CEO of Ezz Steel, one of the largest steel producers in the Middle East and North Africa, where he contributed significantly to its expansion and industry leadership.

Eng. Rafic is an active member of several industry bodies, including the Chamber of Metallurgical Industries in Egypt, and has previously been affiliated with international organizations such as the World Steel Association and the American Iron and Steel Institute.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the American University of Beirut and an MBA from INSEAD, France.
